Flab on the skin or flabby skin is very common now days. Becoming a mother, family medical history, the dwindling of the elastin and proteins like collagen, besides overdieting and surgeries like weigh loss can trigger flabby skin. Due to these factors the skin tends to loose its firmness and becomes flabby. The consumption of too much alcohol and acute smoking have also been attributed the cause of flabby skin. Smoking brings freckles on the skin, and the aftermath is the skin becoming loose and the end result is flabbiness or loose flabby skin.
The bottomline is the combined result of all these factors results in the skin loosing its support and it tends to become dull and flabby. However, there are some home remedies for treating flabby skin and some of them are-
- Breathing exercise is considered a very home remedy for treating flabby skin. However, it should be made certain that this exercise is done in the early mornings for about 15 minutes.
- Before sleeping it is advised to indulge in bending exercises and stretching for about 15 minutes.
- For treating flabby skin a daily massage with Vitamin E oil makes the skin taut.
- Natural home remedies for flabby skin includes the application of strawberry paste on the affected area and letting it dry and washing it off with lukewarm and tapping dry.
- A blend of cucumber slices with yogurt is considered very good in treating flabby skin. A paste would need to be made of the concoction of the aforementioned and applied to the affected area; this should be left to dry and then washed off and dried gently.
- To tighten loose skin chilled rose water (1 tsp) mixed with ordinary water should be applied to the affected area on a regular basis.
- A decoction of honey, whipped white egg and a tsp of lime juice should be applied on the affected are till the symptoms of flabby skin subsides.
- The skin should be massaged on a daily basis before bathing with almond oil or avocado oil or some other essential to remove the dull look of flabby skin and tauten it.
